Position Overview:
The Manager, Talent Acquisition provides strategic and operational leadership support and guidance to their talent acquisition specialists and support staff who provide recruiting support to hiring managers. This role will focus on developing the recruiting team, partnering with business leaders and HR team members to execute against goals, and implementing team and cross-functional process changes to optimize recruiting efficiency.
This role will also be responsible for helping identify, recruit, and screen potential employees for specific positions in the organization. They will identify and negotiate relationships with external vendors to help recruit professional and management roles. They will also handle applicable reporting needs to various levels of leadership across the organization.

Team Leadership & Management
- Oversee, manage the daily activities of Talent Acquisition Specialists and consultants/vendors.
- Provide coaching, training, mentorship, guidance, and career development to members of your team
- Use metrics to create reports on overall talent acquisition data (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) and identify areas of improvement
Resource Planning
- Collaborate with Talent Managers and leaders in the business to understand future staffing plans to develop scalable strategies and initiatives that increase hiring velocity and productivity
- Thoughtfully align the recruiting team to be agile and execution oriented to make deep impact on the highest priority recruiting areas for our clients
Sourcing & Recruiting
- Partner with external recruiting vendors, negotiate terms, and coordinate schedules to fill professional and management-level positions.
- Develop new strategies and programs to attract candidates.
- Design, plan and execute employer branding activities.
- Sourcing, screen, present candidates and negotiate offers
- Proactively seeking candidates via online job boards and social media
- Preparing candidate profiles to present hiring leaders
Process Improvement
- Continuously improve our recruiting processes, enabled by Workday, that will result in advantages to Digi-Key and the candidates
- Network and research to discover new tools and vehicles to contact the best candidates
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Track record of identifying, designing, and developing new workflows, processes, tools and recruiting strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organization and data-driven project management skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in human resources management, business, psychology, communications, or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in recruiting or a related field
- 2+ year of experience building, coaching, and managing a recruiting team
