Title: Human Resources Assistant Department: Human Resources PURPOSE: Responsible for performing a variety of human resource support duties. Assist in maintaining the human resource database and all worker records and files. Handle payroll processing and track and report payroll information. Complete assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics, termination, hire and transfer data, and other information assigned. Provide recommendations regarding the development and administration of human resource policies and programs. Assist in informing new workers of human resource policies and programs as needed. Perform general office support functions and assists area personnel as necessary. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:??? Responsible for effectively recording, maintaining, and reporting human resource information in a confidential manner.??? Track and resolve problems and check system operations as scheduled.??? Ensure that human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.??? Complete reports regarding terminations, transfers, and new hires.??? Process I-9's??? Complete miscellaneous research, reports, and memos as requested.??? Responsible for establishing and maintaining professional working relations with applicants, visitors, callers, and business professionals.??? Receives telephone calls.??? Assist with questions and problems courteously and promptly.??? Maintains and projects the Company s professional reputation.??? Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and with management.??? Assist in orienting new workers and job fairs. Support Department personnel as needed.??? Coordinate with related departments as required. Answer questions and provide assistance.??? Keep management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.??? Attend and participate in meetings as required??? Responsible for related duties as required or assigned.??? Stays well informed regarding human resource developments. Must be able to commute to Racine, WI.JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/ Certifications:??? Associates Degree??? Training in Human Resources Management preferred or equivalent field experience. Experience:??? 1-2 years of related experience Knowledge:??? Basic understanding of human resource functions.??? Knowledge of all related computer applications.??? Understanding of human resource reporting and recordkeeping requirements Skills/ Abilities:??? Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.??? Well organized.??? Accurate and attentive to detail??? Excellent communications and public relations abilities??? Strong typing and computer application skills??? Ability to assist and support others??? High level of patience. PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:??? Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment??? Will be working in an office environment??? Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
