Engineering Support Specialist - Design Validation

The Engineering support specialist / electrical mechanical test technician conducts product testing and supports engineering in product design & Verification activities.

Job Description:
??? Test Technician required to test and troubleshoot digital, analog and RF assemblies down to the component level. Candidate must be proficient with the use of various test equipment and must be familiar with schematic diagrams. Must be knowledgeable and experienced around electronic and electro-mechanical products.
??? Electronic test equipment and soldering and circuit card build and/or test along with the ability to run multiple projects at the same time and on schedule. Must be computer literate, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Perform diversified manual and mechanical duties to test electronic components and assemblies of transmitter units.
??? Duties include visual inspection, testing wiring continuity and circuitry completeness for regulatory Standards (UL, ETL & FCC).

??? Conducts tests of new components, assemblies and systems based on test criteria as established by policies and procedures or written test plans; maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to appropriate development and testing group.
??? Conducts various performance tests of the company s product in accordance with test criteria established by policies and procedures or written test plans and maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to the development and testing group.
??? Conducts various comparison tests of competitive products and components in accordance with test criteria established by policies and procedures or written test plans; maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to the development and testing group.
??? Prepares prototypes of components assemblies and systems of either new or current products as directed by policies and procedures or written test plans or work requests. Ensures that the prototypes meet the established specifications.
??? Operates required machinery and equipment in a safe manner following established safety rules, maintains a neat and clean work area, follows established tool and instrument control procedures, and reports any unsafe acts or conditions to his or her immediate supervisor.
??? Performs inspections and installation of parts and components on test carts; maintains accurate records of the installation of these parts and the collection of test data.

Qualifications:
6+ years experience performing digital, analog and RF testing using automated and manual test equipment and methods; Knowledge & understanding in troubleshooting to component level.
AS degree in Electronics Technology preferred.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
??? This is a Contract position. Expected to work Monday through Friday, regular hours up to 40 hours per week.
??? This not an offsite operation. Candidate must be able to travel to the Golden Valley site. Must follow Covid-19 protocols of the business, State and CDC regulations.
