We are seeking a Designer II for the Milwaukee, WI area. This team of Designers support the client's facilities interior space layouts and space planning. Organize the move and provide design services, such as furniture, fixtures and equipment.

What you will do in this role:

Become an active member of our design team through all phases of the process.

Lead the development of the initial phases of design, including evaluating client needs, programming, and space planning.

Responsible for all conventional aspects of technical design/architectural principles of a project.

Select products, materials, and finishes.

Select and specify furnishings.

Coordinates with outside consultants.

Assist in the preparation of contract documents.

Lead the development of furniture bid / specification documents when needed.

Assist with submittal reviews and RFI responses during the construction administration phase.

Develop and maintain client relationships.

Exercise independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard design techniques and procedures.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position, however you will provide informal assistance, mentoring, and training to coworkers.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from a four-year college or university with a Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum

OR a Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.Arch) or Master's Degree (M.Arch) in Architecture from a four-year college or university with an accredited architectural curriculum (National Architectural Accrediting Board or Canadian Architectural Certification Board).

6 years' experience.

NCIDQ or NCARB certification, preferred.

Proficiency with AutoCad, Microsoft and Adobe Suite.

Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principals.

COMMUNICATION AND REASONING SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to clients.

Ability to effectively present information.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

Ability to work independently to solve problems involving multiple options.
