This position is expected to execute and guide electrical design and specification activities through all phases of the project development process. Coordinate and maintain high voltage electrical systems throughout the facility. Lead cross-disciplinary design teams including other project engineers and maintenance personnel working on projects of small to large scope. In addition to project management responsibilities, this engineer will contribute to the engineering department based on expertise and experience in electrical design. This individual will also develop and increase operation efficiency by utilizing PLC and robotic programs for automation encompassing our process equipment ensuring compliance with applicable specifications and standards, and completing work within the project budget and schedule.

o Analyze project requirements and understand the use of methods, systems, and techniques across management and technical functions affecting a number of departmental operations.

o Make or endorse recommendations and advice to management with the review.

o Project planning based on factual and intangible elements. Requires selection from established precedents.

o Supervise and coordinate the activity of outside contractors as it relates to projects, and assure project safety and security.

o Must possess superior engineering skills.

o Must have advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes, testing of electrical equipment, components, systems, standards, and acceptable industry practices.

Expected Areas of Competence (KSAs)

o Knowledge of all requirements of Federal, State, and Local government agencies, and have a working knowledge of these regulations. Also, keep informed or proposed regulations and how they may impact the Company.

o Strong fundamental knowledge of electrical design and its application in industrial settings including 34.5KV & 4160V power, power distribution, Power Logic meters and controls, Allen Bradley processors, and manufacturing equipment controls.

o Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment.

o Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with good communication skills.

o Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specification and selection.

o Develop bids, plans, specifications, and appropriation requests for equipment and/or buildings and recommend contract awards.

o Provide engineering input on equipment feasibility, cost, and benefit studies.

Education and Experience Requirements

o Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

o 5-7 Years of related job experience

o Proficient in ACAD and MS Office
