The Senior Physician Compensation Analyst will help shape and execute the physician compensation strategies for UnitedHealth Group, creating a wealth of opportunity for an experienced compensation expert to refine and expand their consulting acumen across a broad range of internal clients.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Works on complex compensation projects related to physician and advanced practice clinicians ("APC") compensation
  • Consults and supports Optum's employed physician and APC population
  • Independently drives and completes the projects with little to no oversight
  • Works directly with Human Capital Partners on complex field-initiated projects to drive business results, generally with no oversight
  • Consults with mergers and acquisition efforts to include due diligence and integration activities
  • Partners with external survey companies and is abreast of best practices and thought in the physician compensation field
  • Work with Compensation Director to lead annual FMV review process
  • Ensure programs and plans are competitive, cost effective, drive and reward a high-performance culture and are aligned with Optum's current and future strategic direction

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field or demonstrated equivalency
  • 2+ years of Physician Compensation experience
  • Experience applying data and analytics to influence decision making and business outcomes
  • Experience in organizing and prioritizing multiple projects / deliverables
  • Project management experience and experience working independently
  • Knowledge of physician compensation benchmarks and data
  • Knowledge of physician compensation modeling / model design
  • Experience managing large data sets, excel models and excel based simulations
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel / PowerPoint / etc.)
  • Ability to travel 15%

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
