YOUR ROLE

  • The Production Team Manager is responsible for the production of all finished goods and coordinates the production schedule, materials, and personnel necessary to produce a high-quality product that meets customer demands on a safe and timely basis
  • This position supervises all production activities in order to meet all operational goals for safety, quality, customer service, and cost control
  • This position is the point of accountability for leading day-to-day execution of business results that are focused on key performance measures of safety, quality, reliability, and productivity
  • This position is also responsible for leading team development and boundary management that allows the team and the individuals on the team to increase their skills, performance, and results in order to meet the needs of downstream customers
  • Implement Continuous Improvement / TPM tools and systems (CILT, Centerlining, Defect Handling)
  • Safety is a fundamental aspect of this role and is part of everyone's responsibility.


YOUR SKILLS

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering and/or related field preferred OR equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree
  • 3-5+ years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and listening skills
  • Direct supervision experience: coaching, motivating, team building, performance evaluation, recognition, and time & attendance
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills to help troubleshoot equipment failures and direct resources preferred
  • Union experience preferred, not required
