Job Description
A Quality NDT Intern is responsible for completing the following duties:
- Work on the shop floor performing various NDT/NDE/QC inspections, as required, as the tanks progress through the shop
- Perform various Level II NDT examinations (MT, PT, UT, VT), as needed
- Assist with X-Ray (RT) inspections as needed
- Interpret blueprints and perform various Quality inspections
- Verify section fit up, nozzle, flange, and attachment placement based on prints
- Perform a final visual inspection of the product prior to leaving the shop
- Assist with hydrostatic pressure testing of the tanks
- Generate inspection reports
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have prior NDT experience or attending an NDT program
- Must have general welding and blueprint reading knowledge
- Must have a general working knowledge of computers, specifically Microsoft Office
