The In-Field Construction Project Manager reports to the Director of Operations. Internally, the In-Field Construction Project Manager works with the estimators, job prep, safety, development, and project support staff. Expectations of the position are to be on job sites up to 4 days per week. With objectives to visit several sites each week to ensure crews are supported and we are meeting our overall project goals.

The health of the relationship between our management staff and our field crew is a crucial part of our management team. This position bridges the gap of infield activity with the critical communication and presence needed by management. As key part of the OWWC team with daily responsibilities for all crews. There is a high level of importance on the daily task associated with this project.

Construction Management

??? Understands customer requirements for each site

??? Ensures the foreman understands the requirements and has a plan for timely project completion

??? Responds to questions, concerns, obstacles as they occur

??? Assist in problem solving

??? Strong understanding of projects, understand customer change request requirements and initiate the change request

??? Ability to think quickly, stay on task and quickly move from one task to another is a clear strength you possess

??? Project budget management and communication of budget issues to estimators

??? With assistance of project support personnel:

o Daily dispatching of construction crew

o Approval of construction crew timecards and per diem

o Managing equipment rental (cranes, lifts, etc.)

o Recording progress in construction management software

o Observant of change orders. Monitoring and tracking progress

??? Feedback to safety and training regarding employee performance, opportunities to promote, additional training needed, issues that need to be addressed

Requirements:
  • Carry and maintain correct industry needed certifications (OSHA 30, BBP, RF, first aid/CPR, climber/rescue, MEWP, equipment practical's, DOT med card...)
  • Valid driver's license with driving record approved by OWWC Insurance
  • Ability to work in all climates (hot, cold, rain, snow)
  • Agree with, follow, and demonstrate company values
  • 5 years industry experience
  • 1-2 years on site management experience preferred
  • Office 365/ general computer knowledge
  • Sitting, standing, lifting 60lbs, navigating rough terrain
  • Travel to job sites throughout the Midwest, potential outside Midwest at times
  • Familiarity in civil, electrical and tower construction
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to clearly communicate, communicate effectively across all platforms
  • Take ownership of company projects. Be agile in ever changing environment
