Quality Manager
Quality Manager
Purpose:
Create and support manufacturing processes and documentation to increase customer satisfaction and STS performance
Reports to: General Manager
Duties
- Maintain ISO documentation
- Manage the Quality System
- Manage quality personnel
- Work with suppliers and customers on quality concerns/issues.
- Create process documentation/inspection sheets for new jobs
- Create quality alerts
- Create quality/PPAP paperwork
- Continue to implement safety procedures
- Create Safety committee
- Work with outside/inside sales on quality concerns/issues
Responsibilities:
- Support in project management/launch of new parts/projects
- Improve the process/flow of parts
- Work with customers to improve drawings for manufacturability of parts.
Education and Training
Quality Supervision background
Proficient with ISO Standards
Experience
- Minimum one year of successful performance in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with APQP documentation (PPAP, ISIR, ECN, GR&R, quality alert)
- Blueprint reading/GDT reading/comprehension
- Use of measuring equipment (i.e. calipers, mics, tape ect.)
- Process improvement/problem solving experience - Six-Sigma, DMAIC, 5W, Value Stream, Fishbone, PDCA, etc.
Skills and qualifications
Must Possess:
- A safety orientation
- Ability to safely use a micrometer, and calipers
- Ability to visually and manually inspect materials and determine which meet Sanborn's criteria
- Ability to regularly lift 35 lbs unassisted and heavier materials with assistance
- Ability to manually manipulate materials, to include reaching above shoulders, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
- Ability to give and respond to verbal instruction while performing an activity, especially as it relates to safety
- Ability to operate machinery with hands and feet
- Commitment/willingness to increase job-related knowledge and skills
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time to meet customer's needs
- Must be able to effectively use typical or general office equipment such as a telephone, facsimile, computer and copy machine
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
