Activities Assistant - Behavioral Health Unit

Lakewood Health System's Behavioral Health Unit is seeking a full-time Activities Assistant!

The Activities Assistant will assist with the delivery of patient activities in the acute care psychiatric setting. Primary responsibilities include planning, organizing, and assist with developing a diversified activity program. Will also assist nursing staff within the activity therapy setting, when needed, with individualized patient care, while preserving the patient's rights and human dignity.

This is a full-time position working 64 hours every two weeks and includes every other weekend responsibilities as a CNA.
Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

Must obtain Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification within 6 months of hire

Certificate showing successful completion of the State of Minnesota approved Nursing Assistant Program Test Out in compliance with the Minnesota Statute 144A.61 subdivision b.

Experience in geriatrics desirable

Willing to work some weekends and evenings

Computer knowledge
