General Manager/Senior Project Manager

Rice Companies is seeking a General Manager to help lead our Mankato, MN office! This position will be responsible for providing operational leadership for the location, including management of location P&L and project teams. The General Manager partners with the Business Development Manager, Project Managers, and other Company leaders to formulate operational and business development strategies, establish goals and implement solutions.

Accountabilities for this role include:

??? Financial management of the location, recognizing business opportunities and putting together bids to win new business as well as negotiating and agreeing on contracts.
??? Develops, implements, and executes a strategic business plan including achievement of assigned metrics such as those related to financial forecasts and client satisfaction.
??? Actively involved with local business organizations and community service organizations to promote a positive public image of the company and nurture business relationships.
??? Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions relevant to the division and industry.
??? Coordinates with other locations and senior business leaders to identify and discuss common issues.
??? Overall responsibility for construction job costs and ensuring customer satisfaction and team commitment to company values and quality.
??? Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating the performance and productivity of employees.
??? Coach, encourage, motivate, and teach others within the organization, and utilize employee recognition and motivation techniques as best suit individual employees.
??? May perform activities relative to the management and execution of construction projects within the location.

QUALIFICATIONS

??? Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of demonstrated, relatable experience.
??? Four (4) year construction management, marketing, engineering, finance or related degree preferred.
??? Timberline/Sage 300 Estimating and Procore software experience a plus
??? PEMB (pre-engineered metal buildings) and/or Design/Build Commercial Construction experience a plus
??? Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
??? Strong sales, presentation, and negotiation skills
??? Knowledge of construction projects and processes
??? Strong business development skills and experience in account management
??? Talent acquisition and employee development and performance management experience preferred.
