IMEG Corp. is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Structural Designer / Technician in our Minneapolis, MN office. As a Structural Designer / Technician you will be responsible for preparing project model and Construction Documents for structural discipline and to assure project completeness and accuracy within time restraints and budget.

Remote candidates will be considered.

Some key duties and responsibilities include:

Responsible for the management of the structural project model throughout project duration
Perform model maintenance, setup and act as technical support to the project team as needed
Act as a main point of contact for project related BIM matters
Manage project folder organization and file sharing between IMEG disciplines and all external partners
Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines whose services are requested
Recognizes potential project problems quickly and seeks advice of the Project Manager
Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement
Perform QA/QC duties.

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:

Strong Revit knowledge
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of technical plans and drawings
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and structures
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, AutoCAD and Revit programs
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients
Ability to work independently and in group settings
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of completion
Troubleshooting and problem solving.

Education and experience requirements are:

An Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting, equivalent degree or 5 years' experience required
3+ years of experience in the production of construction documents and models preferred.
