Burner & Combustion Technician- 2nd Shift
Job purpose: The Burner Technician is responsible for start-up, troubleshooting, training, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of burners and combustion systems in a commercial manufacturing environment. S/he will be assigned continuous improvement in all areas of the maintenance department.
Duties and responsibilities:
Physical Demands:
1. Walk for long periods of time while working with & around machinery in an assembly line process
2. Able to stoop, bend, and crouch on a regular basis to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas
3. Able to work in temperatures from 60-110 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity levels as high as 98%

- Ability to work independently or as a team member with minimum supervision.
- Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining confidentiality of all interactions and communications.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness for daily tasks/projects.
- Facilitate a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience in burner service is a plus
- Knowledge in burner control systems a plus
- Experience in hot water systems
- Skilled in startup, operating troubleshooting, and shutdown
- Ability to understand blueprints, electrical schematics and circuitry
- Must be flexible and reliable to work overtime/weekends when needed to meet customer's deadlines or requirements.
- Ability to work independently and with other technicians
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong desire to learn and improve skills
