UW Credit Union is hiring a Mortgage Lending Sales Manager! Representing the ideal blend of leadership, sales, and operational expertise, the Mortgage Lending Sales Manager will be responsible for partnering with Mortgage leadership to manage the mortgage sales process at UW Credit Union. This includes the direct development and supervision of our mortgage loan officers and mortgage specialists to serve current and future members with our entire suite of home financing solutions in the markets we serve. Major areas of responsibility include: the origination of all mortgage applications, meet monthly and annual goals, business development activities, and provide on-going coaching and development of the mortgage sales team. This individual also plays a key role in collaborating the mortgage leadership team to develop and contribute to our mortgage strategy, growth, and team success.

Direct the Sales and Business Development Activities of Mortgage Sales

Actively participate in the development of long-range and short-range targets and goals.
Define market opportunities and sales efforts between UWCU and its loan sources, including realtors, builders, members, and other UWCU areas.
Direct the mortgage specialist in providing our suite of rapid refinance solutions.
Participate in the creation and implementation of business development plans to increase market share. Work closely with the VP of Mortgage Lending in establishing annual loan production.
Monitor and maintain Mortgage Loan Officer Incentive Compensation plan.
Recommend improvements and enhancements to mortgage product offerings.
Work closely with the VP of Mortgage Lending in goal setting, incentive plan and product development and other mortgage planning activities.
Provide candid feedback regarding strategy to insure continual improvement.
Build strong relationship with Retail, Investment Services and Community and
Campus team members in support of Mortgage Services and developing effective referral behaviors

Accountable for member service quality, deepening of member relationships, member satisfaction and attainment of product sales goals

Build a strong sales and service, high-performance culture that motivates and creates ownership for staff to initiate, build, and retain members.
Formulates individual and departmental sales and relationship goals to support the achievement of organizational goals.
Reinforce application of systems, process, and sales training. Ensures staff are equipped to effectively support the credit union's product lines so that members receive knowledgeable and professional service.
Serves as a mentor to mortgage loan officers and mortgage specialist. Ensure consistent sales and process coaching is delivered.
Develops systems to continually monitor member satisfaction and organizationally represent the "Voice of the Member".
Develops and maintains an environment that encourages employees to identify improvements to provide a frictionless service experience.
Direct cross sale efforts of retail and consumer products from Mortgage Sales group in support of organizations goals of deepening member relationships.

Sales Operations Management

Ensure effective teamwork between sales and operations.
Responsible for day-to-day oversight of sales team service levels.
Develop, review, and recommend new methods and procedures.
Evaluate staffing requirement to operate efficiently, including team member knowledge and skill levels.
Conduct regulatory reviews and implement policy, procedure, and forms changes. Ensure compliance with state and federal government rules and regulations.
Direct productive and collaborative weekly sales meetings in conjunction with other Mortgage Managers to improve sales, service, and process.
Bachelor's degree in business, sales, banking, finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
6+ years mortgage lending experience.
4+ years management experience.
Experience in both mortgage sales and operations is highly desired.
Strong interpersonal communication, outstanding ability to influence and build relationships, and creative problem-solving skills.
Maintain an active federal registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry.
Maintain a valid license and vehicle liability insurance in the minimum amounts required by law.
Ability to travel and work in various locations throughout the credit union network, as needed.
