Description

This position is located at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC), an international leader in energy and environmental research, conducting projects for clients throughout the United States and the world. We are looking for confident, scientifically trained, and market-oriented individuals to contribute to the success of the organization by performing one or more of the following functions:

  • Provide high-level administrative and professional support to Assistant Director and research staff.
  • Coordinate schedules, maintain calendars, arrange meetings, and handle visitors.
  • Work with a travel coordinator to initiate travel arrangements, ensure they are complete, and submit receipts for reimbursement.
  • Use MS Office software to prepare draft letters, agendas, and other business correspondence.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, and rough out quarterly reports.

Required Competencies

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in an appropriate administrative or scientific field.
  • 5-years related experience and demonstrated skills relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Proficiency and advanced experience using MS Office software.
  • Advanced experience with scheduling meetings, conferences, workshops, etc.
  • Successful completion of Criminal History Records Check.
  • Resume and cover letter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience.
  • 2 years’ experience supporting Assistant Director-level position.
  • Familiarity with scientific nomenclature.
  • Experience in a project-based organization.
  • Experience facilitating or coordinating research.
  • Experience planning events.
  • Experience with UND’s policies and procedures.

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$40,000 / year; Non-exempt; Benefited; Full-time

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to accommodate work activities/work life balance. Travel may be required.
