Mechanical Designer

Description:

Create shop drawings from existing designs

modify existing models from design team

Enter BOM data into the ERP system(pull part #'s from BOM and assign and configure to ERP).

Create and update part models and drawings in the company Solidworks Library

Work with other designers to create or update models and drawings of machined, sheet metal parts using Solidworks software

Creating and maintaining Custom assemblies and components and their BOMs

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Low level Engineer or high level Designer

2 year technical degree in drafting/mechanical design or equivalent demonstrated experience

2 years of relevant industry experience using Solidworks as the primary drafting tool, with experience using features such as weldments and sheet metal.

Experience creating and maintaining complex models and component level drawings

Experience with MS Office suite

Self-starter able to work independently

Good written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
