Design Engineer

The QTI Group is partnering with an employee-owned manufacturer in New Lisbon to recruit its' next Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience within engineering and experience within product design is preferred. The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and designing new products, subassemblies and components.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement product line extensions for existing products and assist in the development of new products.
• Calculate and validate critical design parameters in order to ensure safe, reliable and cost-saving designs.
• Collaborate with product development team, consultants, suppliers and manufacturing team to develop new concepts, identify and resolve design issues and implement designs.
• Prepare 3D CAD models and drawings for components and assemblies.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including BOM's, drawings and work instructions for new products.
• Support production and design teams to achieve goals related to safety, quality and productivity.
• Ensure process documentation is current and properly maintained.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline required.
• 2-3 years of engineering experience. Product design experience is preferred.
• 3D Solid Modeling software experience required. SolidWorks experience is preferred.
