Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly systematic and manual allocations
  • Prepare monthly accruals
  • Assist with the monthly close process
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations
  • Extract, consolidate and map data obtained from various systems and sources
  • Prepare account fluctuation analysis and provide business drivers to management
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare or insurance experience
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, SmartView/Essbase, SAS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for Connecticut residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
