SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Our client, an industry leader with operations throughout the United States, is currently looking to hire a talented Senior Accountant. This great opportunity is currently available due to an upcoming retirement of a long-tenured employee. This highly visible role works with both internal stakeholders and external customers functioning in a business partnering role.
Senior Accountant Job Summary
The Senior Accountant supports the Accounting group in a key accounting role and is responsible for supporting the month-end close process, reconciliation reporting, variance analysis, audits, enforcing department accounting policies, developing/implementing process efficiencies and other ad-hoc projects. Additionally, this role assists with other internal and external financial reporting activities.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for supporting the monthly and quarterly closing process for a variety of accounting areas.
- Improves and assists in the creation of new processes to optimize and standardize of accounting processes.
- Partners with peers on the team, as well as cross functionally with those in other areas.
- Responsible for performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting requirements, including, but not limited to, journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of activities and reporting.
- Performs other special ad hoc projects as needed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification or equivalent "preferred"
- 4 + years of post-grad G/L Accounting experience

Compensation: $75K to $85K + highly competitive company benefits
