Reporting to the Vice President of HR & EHS, the HR Director will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement inclusion and retention strategies that will support our strategic plan. The position requires a balanced approach to data and relationships leveraging both to influence decision makers to ensure we offer the best employee experience in the industry. An understanding of employment law and the ability to translate business needs into successful retention strategies is critical.

Responsibilities

Build and lead a highly effective, continuous improvement focused, and customer-engaging team of HR professionals who are business knowledgeable, talent experts, client-focused and ensure consistency in HR strategy/practices across the organization
Leverage reporting tools to monitor/analyze, educate/report and drive people-centric decisions to positively impact the business (Example: surveys, turnover, rate of promotions, diversity)
Facilitate company-wide organizational change initiatives and practices that support strategic initiatives; build partnerships as a strategic talent advisor
Develop and own talent development routines, leadership training, best practices and career pathing tools
Provide effective coaching and counsel involving employee relations and leadership effectiveness; recommend development plans, processes, and programs to meet specific individual needs
Partner with talent acquisition team to ensure a smooth and successful candidate to employee experience takes place
Stay abreast of industry best practices, employment trends affecting the HR function and current employment legislation and policies.
Manage vendor partners and agencies, support the implementation of effective pricing and contracts, track performance against goals, and review billing.

Requirements

Self-starter, highly accountable, ambitious, yet humble optimistic leadership style.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of broad HR leadership with at least 4 years as functional HR leader
Affinity for technology and data, reporting and analysis
Strong team player with the ability to facilitate team building, develop effective partnerships, and collaborate regardless of position/title, locations or time zones.
Commitment to inclusion and diversity, openness to new ideas and perspectives, and collaborative mindset.
Strong organization and follow-up skills, demonstrated attention to detail, and proven ability to work with a sense of urgency; comfortable navigating ambiguous situations.
Basic understanding of employment law
M&A experience preferred
Willingness to travel, including by air, and ability to operate rental car vehicles.
Proficiency in MS Office, varying HR systems; experience with UKG preferred but not required.
Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
