Summary Assists accounting and tax activities to ensure that the company meets its legal reporting requirements with respect to federal, state and local, and international tax laws. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare federal, state and/or US international income tax returns while developing knowledge of the business and improving research and technical skills Identify and research tax issues with the ability to communicate findings Develop accounting skills while assisting in the ASC 740 tax provision process Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned Assistance with indirect tax compliance and audits Use data management skills and accounting knowledge to initiate and/or assist in the improvement of tax department processes, including the implementation or application of technology to increase efficiency and accuracy Build cross functional relationships and develop an understanding of the business to identify opportunities or assess risk Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 0-3 year(s) of relevant experience in corporate tax and/or public accounting Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated, strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Oshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodation to job applicants with disabilities.
