Staff Accountant

Major Responsibilities:
Maintain electronic cash checkbooks. Prepare journal entries to record electronic bank deposits, apply cash receipts and prepare bank account reconciliations.
Review ACH and positive pay exceptions.
Maintain fixed asset records, including all additions, disposals, and gains/losses on disposals. Prepare and record monthly depreciation entry. Assist with year-end financial and tax fixed asset reporting.
Review general ledger coding of invoices relating to employee benefits and reconcile employee benefits in general ledger to payroll.
Reconcile payroll tax liability accounts.
Prepare personal property tax reports.
Assist with preparation of annual and tax work papers and analysis as needed to support the general ledger and as requested by financial auditors.
Assist with miscellaneous requests of CFO and Controller.

Minimum Requirements:
Education - A two-year degree in accounting is required with a minimum of three years' experience.
Experience - This position requires experience in data entry, general accounting principles, knowledge of the general ledger and how it relates to other journals. Multi-company is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite expected with Excel proficiency required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
