Audit Sr. - Public

Robert Half is seeking audit professionals who aspire to work for a terrific Accounting Consultancy company. Responsibilities could include governmental auditing and other accounting services for a variety of clients located in the Twin Cities area. Successful candidates should have successfully completed a 4-year accounting degree, have or be working towards earning their CPA credentials, and 2+ years of recent audit experience. Major responsibilities

tAssist the audit team's efforts for individual clients, including the performance of state and local government financial statements and compliance audits.

tMaintain exceptional client relations while planning, advising and completing client engagements. Manage audit workflow, ensure technical accuracy and meet deadlines and budget parameters.

tUphold client confidentiality standards and demonstrate the firm's risk management policies and procedures; identify and refer conflict issues.

tSummarize and communicate audit results to Partners and clients.

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 2+ years of audit experience including but not limited to controls testing and substantive testing
• Formation and execution of detailed test plan
• Experience with reconciliation and journal entry processes
• Governmental audit experience is preferred, but not required
• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
• Fully formed written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
• MS suite, spreadsheet and database capabilities
