POSITION: Production Foreman $20/hr

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contribute to production operations by complying with and enforcing policies and procedures for meat processing;
Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) regulations, etc.
Contribute to a safe and sanitary work environment by complying with and enforcing establishment procedures and
rules.
Monitor and delegate the assembly and set up of meat processing equipment for operation. Monitor and delegate the
disassembly of meat processing equipment for sanitation washing.
Monitor and delegate the high-volume packaging of frozen sausage patties, assuring that all department employees are
trained and equipped to perform their jobs safely and effectively, meeting strict product quality specifications.
Monitor return-of-materials flow and the amount of rework generated at each work area to assure rework procedures
are followed precisely, and improve product throughput efficiency.
Assure product quality specifications are met by checking production logs and control charts, and analyzing records
and statistics.
Communicating frequently with equipment operators and laborers in the work area to assure procedures are followed
properly, and product quality specifications are met.
Communicating frequently with other department heads to assure proper flow of materials throughout the process.
Provide relief for laborers during breaks and lunches.
Implement contingency procedures of substitution to assure all vital department functions are performed, as necessary.
Contribute to production operation by solving process problems, making equipment adjustments, reviewing production
and quality data, recording decisions, and referring problems to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Attend to the current needs of the process by responding immediately to the expressed orders of the Production
Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.
Responsible for the quality of work performed and for identifying and documenting quality problems for corrective
action and prevention of non-conforming product.

REQUIREMENTS:
Prefer candidates should be able to read and write in English, possess good written and verbal communication
skills, and good mathematical skills. The candidate must be dependable, detail-oriented, be able to follow
directions and record data neatly and accurately, and able to work under minimal supervision. The candidate must
be willing to work weekends and overtime hours
