Deposit Operations Manager
Description:
The Deposit Operations manager is responsible for direct management of Deposit Operations department, which includes department scheduling, running team meetings & ensuring effective communication within the department, completing performance evaluations (including documented associate development plans and ensuring the feedback that is provided is accurate, complete, timely and provides the guidance necessary to ensure colleagues accomplish their goals) and identifying/implementing operational efficiencies to the extent possible.
Assigned functional areas include, but are not limited to, ACH operations, item processing (including exception item processing), wire transfers, legal orders (i.e. garnishments, levies, subpoenas etc.), reconciliation and settlement of various internal bank accounts, risk monitoring, overdraft privilege administration, IRA/HSA administration, year-end tax reporting and various data entry related tasks.
Essential Functions & Duties
Manage the daily activities of assigned functional area(s)l prioritizing; completing multiple activities; resolves problems as they arise
Proactively identify, research, and complete policies and procedure changes to reduce costs, streamline operations and/or increase efficiency.
Serve as resource to internal and external customers; ensure quality customer service and effective and efficient operations support
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Bank policies and procedures and ensures activities are in compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and Park Bank policies and procedures
Represent the department by working directly with auditors and examiners and ensure all findings/recommendations are resolved to management's satisfaction
Provide management to the deposit operations team; foster a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, regulatory compliance, and ethical behavior through coaching and mentoring
Requirements:
Required Education and Experience
Minimum 3 years' banking experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education
Preferred Education and Experience
Associate's Degree or post-secondary classes/degree
Experience in Bank Deposit Operations
Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience
Experience with Fiserv Premier core
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Ability to multi-task and function in a high volume, fast paced and deadline orientated environment
Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and analytical skills
Experience creating and updating procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Physical Demands
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Adjusting or moving objects up to 10 pounds in all directions.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
