The Controls Engineer assists in the design, testing, installation, and maintenance of large-scale electronic equipment or machinery for use in manufacturing. Follows established and defined processes and procedures to complete basic projects and solve problems of limited scope.

What You'll Do:
Assists in evaluating control systems, products, components, and applications.
Assists in evaluating new manufacturing and control technologies, adapting into specifications as appropriate.
Analyze foundry processes by tracing process steps, identifying component parts and equipment, determining control capabilities and capacities, and recording settings.
Confirms control system functionality, including appropriate safety compliance, by designing and/or executing test procedures.
Assists in the review of layout and electrical drawings; collaborates with related engineering teams to evaluate components, materials, and suppliers.
Ensures integrity of process and build data collection.
Provides information to manufacturing, process, and other engineering disciplines by answering questions and requests.
Design, construct, and connect cabling necessary for testing, development, and troubleshooting PLC and computer interfaces.
Keeps equipment operating by performing periodic audits; assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems/breakdowns as needed; requesting supplies; defining and reviewing preventive maintenance plans; calling for repairs; and implementing process improvements.
Maintains project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates.
Utilize delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.

What We Need from You:
Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent with over three years' experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
Constant access to confidential information where discretion and care are essential.
Regular external contacts on matters requiring tact, judgment and proper conduct.
Light physical effort. Able to lift up to 20 pounds if needed.
Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE
