This position works closely with providers and clinicians to enhance their practice for better patient outcomes.

The Clinical Informaticist - Provider Lead provides direction in the application, design and maintenance of the electronic health record and integrated products in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of Lakewood Health System and the Information Technology department. The duties include, but are not limited to, embedding themselves in daily communications between providers and departments, setting and achieving goals that advance the integration of clinical information, and providing support of clinical information systems. This is a vital position within Lakewood Health System, as it serves as a liaison to all patient care disciplines and the IT department as it relates to the clinical information systems.

Examples of the position's responsibilities:

• Work closely with providers, nursing, and all other users of the clinical information system.
  
• Provide education, support, and troubleshooting when necessary, and collaborates to develop strategies and best practice.
  
• Coordinate and/or participate in end-user and project team efforts in the design, implementation, and evaluation of training projects.
  
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives as it relates to practice and information systems.
  
• Use knowledge to improve clinical processes, and optimize clinical systems to meet values, vision, and mission of the organization.
  

This is a full-time position, working on-site 80 hours every two weeks, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications

EPIC EHR experience required

Provider Ambulatory and Clinic Workflow experience required

Must possess astute communication skills

Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

RN, LPN, or CMA experience preferred
