Description & Details:

A postdoctoral position is available immediately for applicants with research interests in designing and developing wearable chemical sensors. Our laboratory is actively developing novel nanomaterials and technologies for applications in gas sensors for medical purposes. The goal of this research is to design functionalized gas sensors and methods for solving challenging problems in breath analysis.

This position will be highly interdisciplinary, spanning from wearable/mobile sensor design and implementation, electronics and circuit design, prototyping, and carrying out hands-on sensing tests. A large component of this position will involve directly working with clinical and research partners, including both collaborative research groups and medical companies.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, Monday thru Friday

Advertised Salary:

Commensurate with experience, plus full benefits package

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Expertise in sensor development, circuit design, embedded system, AI engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Prior experience developing chemical sensors, developing or implementation circuits, or translational research.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, material science, physics or a related field.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and possess training in areas of biomedical engineering, nanomaterial synthesis and instrumentation (SEM, XRD, Raman), microelectronics, circuit design, signal processing, and programming.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in sensors, wearable sensors, chemical sensors, embedded devices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with a multidisciplinary research team.
