Software Interface Engineer

Pepperl+Fuchs is looking for a recent graduate in Computer Science to join our Hospitality Products Division as a Software Interface Engineer. This position is responsible for the implementation, testing and support of GSS (Guest Service Systems) interface modules for the Pepperl+Fuchs/Comtrol Lodging Link product line.

Responsibilities:

• Implements Lodging Link interface modules in accordance with design specifications provided by management.
• Generates complete and thorough test plans for various interface modules.
• Tests and tracks the results of interface modules in accordance with test plans.
• Maintains existing interface modules, including trouble shooting, fixing bugs and improving functionality.
• Interacts with various technical contacts to assist with customer troubleshooting, installation and other technical needs.
• Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.
• Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff and the general public.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or Associates degree in Computer Science or equivalent studies, or a minimum of 2 years experience in software design/ implementation
• Minimum 1 year of experience in software development
• Knowledge of C and C syntax
• Knowledge of IP and Serial communications prefer but not required
