Joining the Medicare & Retirement Part D Financial Data Analytics team, the Finance Data Engineer will be accountable for a broad range of reporting, analytics, and data solutions. This position offers the opportunity to join a department that is working to dramatically improve the healthcare experience

If you are located in Minnetonka, MN you will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain existing SAS programs for a production environment
  • Conduct data extraction and research studies that may include analyzing, reviewing, trending, and presenting information, based on provided specifications
  • Analyze health care spend, membership, and pharmacy utilization to identify key trend drivers
  • Continually identify deficiencies in production processes, propose enhancements, and implement those enhancements to increase productivity or reduce manual effort
  • Analyze healthcare claims from different data sources and identify data integrity issues
  • Various ad-hoc analyses and reports as necessary

Candidate Profile:

  • Ability to work collaboratively across a matrix environment to positively influence business partners
  • Be a self-starter and able to work independently; work with a sense of urgency and be comfortable with ambiguity and constant change; approach work in an enthusiastic, positive, and collaborative manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be extremely organized
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

This role will be hybrid in Minnetonka but can be telecommute for the ideal candidate not in the area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience using Data Steps and Proc SQL to extract and cleanse data for analyses
  • 3+ years of financial and/or business analytics experience
  • 3+ years querying large databases
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office product suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • SAS Grid experience
  • Experience with pharmacy claims and Part D
  • Experience building or utilizing dashboards in PowerBI
