About the Position: The University Counseling Center is looking to fill a permanent, full-time, full benefitted Licensed Clinician embedded within the School of Aerospace. This position will deliver psychological therapy services to students at UND in the Aerospace Community, serve as a consultant regarding psychological matters to faculty, staff, and other members of the Aerospace university community and provide outreach, training, workshops, and research assistance to the Aerospace community.

Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences operates one of the largest fleets of civilian aircraft in North America. UND Aerospace is a world-renowned center for aerospace learning, nationally acclaimed for our achievements in collegiate aviation education, atmospheric research, space studies, and earth system science and policy research. With more than 500 faculty and staff members, 1,800+ students from around the world, and myriad programs and projects, the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences is setting the pace for the future of flight.
The position will hold office space at the UND School of Aerospace. The position reports to the Director at the University Counseling Center and Associate Dean for the School of Aerospace Sciences.
About the University Counseling Center (UCC): The Counseling Center offers accessible and confidential mental health and substance use services to support and assist students at the University of North Dakota.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct intake interviews, evaluations, and refer to psychological testing as deemed necessary
- Provide crisis intervention services as scheduled or needed to Aerospace community
- Develop and follow a treatment plan
- Provide psychotherapy as clinically appropriate
- Consult with medical providers or other external parties as needed
- Organize Walk-in hours that meets Aerospace needs for faculty and students.
- Complete Personal Evaluations for Aerospace Students
- Oversight/completion for FAA medical letter requirements for mental health/psychological treatment and status reports.
- UCC representative for the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) if regarding Aviation Community
- Lead consultant for Aerospace Departments in regard to mental health concerns or processes
- Keep records related to client contacts along timelines prescribed by director within UCC current EHR system.
- Write letters for clients upon request and work with case management as needed
- Provide consistent training and outreach services to university students, staff, faculty, and Aerospace community.
- Develop and implement Peer Support/Mentoring program for College of Aerospace.
- Develop prevention workshops/classes that assist with mental health support in the Aerospace Community
- Assist and collaborate in development and/or facilitation of outreach opportunities with Aerospace Community
- Participate in ongoing Aviation mental health research both local within UND and national research with Aviation community
Required Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated expertise in counseling/psychotherapy
- Demonstrated ability to flexibly manage the professional demands of a challenging workload while maintaining positive and healthy perspectives and relationships
- Demonstrated collaboration skills
- Able to work in a hybrid model remote/on-site if needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's in counseling/clinical psychology, social work, or related field
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in ND for counseling, psychology, and/or social work (Psychologist residents must be eligible to be licensed within 1 year of hire)

- PhD in clinical/counseling psychology
