This position is located at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC), an international leader in energy and environmental research, conducting projects for clients throughout the United States and the world. • Design, create, test, troubleshoot, and maintain new and existing software applications (desktop, web-based, and mobile), many of which are database driven.
• Translate client requirements and formulate detailed specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Create and maintain product documentation; independently research and resolve complex technical programming problems.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Remote working is an option for this position.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field to be completed by the end of the Summer 2022 semester. A lesser degree with equivalent solid programming experience may be substituted.
• Programming experience in developing (web, desktop, or mobile).
• Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with .Net technology (VB/C#).
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Git, AJAX, ASP, Angular, or PHP.
• Experience in development using Microsoft Visual Studio,
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in designing and creating database tables, functions, and stored procedures. (MS SQL Server preferred.)
• Experience in Python or R. Knowledge of Machine Learning.
• Experience with Data Visualization tool such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau or Spotfire.

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$50,000 / year; Exempt; Benefited; Full-time

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to accommodate work activities/work life balance. Travel may be required.
