Drive the company's product strategy and portfolio by working with all product development functions to deliver optimal products, services and improvements. Define and execute the product roadmap and launch cadence to exceed the customer’s expected experience by identifying, developing and leveraging new technology to maximize customer satisfaction to achieve company revenue, margin and share targets. 

Role & Responsibility

Product Management: 
•    Refine existing or develop new processes that govern product management activities and facilitate cross-regional, cross-functional collaboration.
•    Drive business requirements into product/project scope to ensure solutions align to customer needs.
•    Articulate product value proposition to all product management and commercial teams to maximize product launches.
•    Build and monitor product value proposition and business case for product development, understanding market conditions, customer needs and profit goals.
•    Collect, organize and analyze business performance.
Product Development: 
•    Gather voice of customer from internal stakeholders, dealers and customers.  Ensure the product being delivered meets or exceeds customer requirements through validation exercises/research.  
•    Drive leadership decision making by delivering quantitative market research.
•    Analyze market and product research to validate product strategy and to drive development activities.
•    Understand operational issues & balance those aspects in the product planning process including quality, manufacturing complexity, and current process capability.
•    Ensure the product being delivered meets or exceeds customer requirements through validation exercises/research.
Product Strategy: 
•    Hire, supervise and develop Product Manager(s) / Product Specialist(s).
•    Create, manage and communicate a prioritized product and services roadmap to key internal and external stakeholders to achieve product development goals.
•    Collaborate cross-functionally and cross-regionally to document and align on each functional area’s long-range plans to leverage the product portfolio and then align those needs to the overall business strategy.
•    Develop plans and lead completion of team tasks (e.g. Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, budget, HR) including managing all team members per organizational policies and applicable laws.
•    Confer with senior management to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
•    Present and gain business council alignment on product and business strategy recommendations (e.g. product & technology roadmaps, SLP pricing, sales program, forecast, product marketing).
•    Lead or participate in department leadership activities (e.g. strategic team growth, talent management, succession planning, change management).
•    Drive execution of business and product strategy to achieve product development goals, maximize product revenue and profit and achieve market share goals.
 

Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or Information Systems or related major.
  • Experience Required: 10+ years.
  • Travel Required: 10-24%. 
  • Experience in developing and executive strategic business plans and projecting/measuring ROI; strong financial acumen.
  • Experience in managing and developing construction equipment products (or related) and/or digital software products/service and operation experience.
  • Experience in developing, conducting and drawing conclusions on the results of product research.
  • Strong communication skills (team leadership, presentation ability, proactive focus due to geographies).
  • Strong organizational and influencing skills across teams, ability to engage stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and develop employees and cross functional teams.
  • Strong combination of strategic thinking, detailed tactical planning and project management expertise.

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
