Position description
This position will require you to work from an office in your home located within the territory of support which includes: Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, and West Virginia. Relocation to territory is required within 12 weeks of hire.

As a Manager in Field Services, you will be responsible for the supervision, management, and development of staff and will oversee the Regional Service Representatives or Client Site Specimen Processors in their delivery of MCL support for community-based laboratories unique to each client's needs as characterized during the sales process. While directing client retention activities by ensuring staff and processes and providing exceptional support in day-to-day operations you will be driving the cross-departmental MCL support staff to analyze client concerns and prioritize opportunities to improve delivery of service. This leadership position will require you to effectively develop others and have an appreciation for creating and supporting diverse teams, while fostering an inclusive work environment.

Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet both of the below qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree
AND
  • Three years in the MCL Regional Service Representative or Client Site Specimen Processor role or six years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital setting
DLMP employees that have been in their current lab/position for less than 2 years must attach an early release approval from their supervisor.

  • Master's degree, leadership experience, and/or accreditation by a national agency (MT, CLS, MLS, MB, CG, MP or HTL) preferred.
  • Outreach experience desired.
  • Good human relations and communications skills to influence and motivate others.
  • High level of technical competence and confidence.
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, creative, dependable, responsible and able to perform well within multifunctional environments.
  • Customer focused. Ability to manage several projects or tasks simultaneously and to exercise appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects.
  • Decision making and problem-solving ability.
  • Adherence to Mayo Clinic and MCL policies and procedures.
  • Ability to function and work in a diverse work environment while providing direction, coaching, and oversight to field service staff.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory and reimbursement issues.
  • Good driving record is required, along with the ability to travel extensively on all forms of major public transportation. 60% travel is required.

Compensation Detail
Required education, experience, and tenure, along with internal equity will be considered when an offer is extended. The pay range for this position is $84,600 - $127,000 / year

Business hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Variable due to travel expectations and time zones.
