The Insurance Follow-Up Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of representatives which focus on resolving outstanding claims with various payers.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 6:00am-6:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional weekends.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provides oversight for follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and underpayment resolution.
  • Coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments.
  • Responsible for management functions including activities related to staffing such as recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluations.

Required Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma/GED or 4+ years of Insurance Follow-Up experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team
  • 3+ years of related Insurance Follow-up experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Applications including Word and Excel

Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Knowledge of payer policies and procedures
  • Experience with EPIC

Soft Skills:
  • Effective in identifying and analyzing problems
  • Prioritizes workload
  • Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
