Position Information:

Description

The purpose of this position is to implement and train in the states associated with the region of ID, CO, MT, ND, SD, WY and UT. It includes implementing Opioid Use Disorders (OUD) and stimulant use programs, embedding strategies for facilitating programs, and collaborating with consultants and colleagues to serve the clients in their districts. Additionally, the person in this position will work across the ORN network to ensure access to training and technical assistance and respond to all requests.

Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with ORN Network
  • Collaborate with Consortium Partners to identify behavioral health experts for consultation as needed to supplement the core TA team(s). ATTCs will then execute consulting agreements with these experts.
  • Assess providers needs upon request to conduct a comprehensive assessment.
  • Process TA requests through a centralized system; transmit those requests to TA Team; ensure appropriate evaluation protocol is followed; track TA requests as part of the continuous learning through a Knowledge Management System (KMS) ensure TA requests are closed satisfactorily.

Work Collaboratively with Providers in Region 8
  • Provide training & facilitate technical assistance to teams on best practices and facilitating technical assistance and technology transfer and serve in a coaching role for each TA Team by providing additional training and suggesting appropriate TA strategies to improve the quality of TA provided.
  • Participate in providing TA on a tailored basis to local providers within the ORN network on prevention, treatment, and recovery support services.
  • Participate in a Communities of Practice (CoP) for providers and consultants associated with this project, including quarterly virtual meetings.

Communicate with Stakeholders
  • Serve in a project manager role for each TA Team, scheduling regular web-based team meetings (e.g., via Zoom), maintaining communication channels with each TA team, and ensuring TA teams are appropriately staffed (adding from reserve pool as necessary).
  • Lead TA teams in matching evidence-based interventions, such as MAT for OUDs, and SRA for stimulant use disorders; evidence-based prevention/early detection programs; and community-based recovery supports, to TA requests. TT Specialists will also link TA teams to existing training materials and other resources on these topics that the teams may use during TA delivery.
  • Serve as liaison in government to government relationships, including state, federal and tribal in addressing stimulant use disorders in a collaborative manner with additional stakeholders and providers of services.
  • Work collaboratively with Tribal Nations.
  • Public presentations on the role of ORN and resources available.

Ensure Effectiveness of Consultants
  • Assist the Consortium evaluation team in collecting evaluation documents and work collaboratively with ORN program evaluators to monitor continuous quality improvement.
  • Expand access of consultant pool to ensure expertise is available to assist providers in addressing stimulant abuse disorders.


Required Competencies

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills; capacity to work with interprofessional team
  • Demonstrated customer service & organizational skills/experience


Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in a human service or business related field
  • 3 years of experience working with providers of treatment services in the human service field
  • Experience and technology skills to advance and support providers engaged in work with substance use disorders, specifically stimulants and opioids
  • Travel monthly, possibly up to a week at a time, within rural areas of the region served
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with human service agencies & addiction treatment providers
  • Government to government communications experience


Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$60,000+ / year commensurate with experience; exempt; benefited; full-time

40 hours per week
