Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean; free of rubbish, litter and debris. 2. Shovel, plow, sand and salt the walks, driveways, parking areas and steps as appropriate. 3. Ensure that all exit doors are accessible and all panic bars are working properly during the hours of occupancy; all exits are clear of debris. 4. Sweep, vacuum and dust floors and furniture in classrooms daily, as scheduled. 5. Clean corridors daily and when conditions require it. 6. Clean, scrub, disinfect restrooms, floors, sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains as directed. 7. Wash all windows and glass fixtures as scheduled. 8. Keep all floors clean reporting any flooring that needs repairs or replacement. 9. Make such minor building repairs as directed. 10. Utilize appropriate Work Order forms to inform maintenance personnel or Building Principal of major repairs. 11. Report to the Building Principal and the Director of Building and Grounds any damage to school property. 12. Assume responsibility for the opening and/or closing of the building each day and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off. 13. Conduct an ongoing program of preventive cleaning and sanitizing, upkeep and repair. 14. Move furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by a supervisor. 15. Sweep, mop, wash, disinfect, dust, polish, and vacuum floors and fixtures in assigned areas. Follow cleaning schedule provided. 16. Keep wastebaskets empty and clean. Wash out and sanitize on a regular basis. 17. Keep toweling, toilet tissue and soap dispensers filled. 18. Assist with after school/evening activities or programs as directed by a supervisor. 19. Complete all other duties assigned by a supervisor. This is a non-supervisory position; the position is a full-time, full-year (12 months).

Qualifications
Qualifications: ??? Minimum of a high school diploma; advanced training preferred ??? Excellent health ??? Able to read proficiently and follow written directions in a productive manner. ??? U.S. citizen or alien with employment eligibility ??? Evidence of being able to work in a cooperative manner ??? Working knowledge of electricity; ability to safely use tools for minor repairs. ??? Knowledge of approved cleaning techniques; ability to use cleaning tools in a proper manner. ??? Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities. ??? Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a daily basis ??? Able to safely climb a foot stool, ladder and use an air lift; able to work at heights. ??? Able to interact with staff and the public in a helpful and pleasant manner. ??? Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. ??? General understanding of school building operations; flexibility.
