The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a business partner with ERDMAN leaders and team members. This role is responsible for and performs a variety of functions within the department including but not limited to overseeing the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), compliance, communications and enhancing the ERDMAN Experience with all team members.


Key Responsibilities:

Payroll: Performs and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.


Compensation & Benefits Administration: Performs salary surveys and research associated with compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations. Responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.). Provides quality service in administering ERDMAN's Total Rewards programs and in responding to employee questions and comments. Collects, compiles, and analyzes, Human Resources (HR) data, metrics, and statistics related to employee benefits and leaves, applying this data to make recommendations related to employee benefits and leave entitlements.


Organizational Development: With Senior Vice President (SVP) Organizational Development (OD) and department leadership, coordinates employee onboarding and orientation. Provides coordination for Wellbeing programming. Assists Experience ERDMAN event coordination. Manages ERDMAN Milestone/Anniversary program. With SVP OD creates content and updates Agile Performance System and Learning Management System (LMS) with all coursework documentation, trainer coordination, and roster completion. Supports SVP OD with INSPIRE leadership scheduling, monthly event coordination, and course measurement.


Internal Communication: Collaborates with stakeholders to create and publish internal communications ensuring ERDMAN brand and culture is properly captured in each. Maintains HR and OD Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Develops and implements SOPs to support consistent experience.


Talent Acquisition: Performs new team member pre-boarding orientation and planning. Works in collaboration with Talent Director to ensure effectiveness of sourcing, recruitment, and advertising initiatives. Performs recruiting assistance as assigned. Hires 1099 staff utilizing HRIS.


Reporting & Process Improvements: Performs a variety of related administrative tasks supporting HR and OD department. Demonstrates an understanding of HR policies, procedures, and practices. Maintains and updates ERDMAN's HRIS, employee records and ensures data accuracy for HR and OD metrics and reports. Provides administrative leadership with annual filings and audits. Collects and compiles key HR and OD metrics and data from a variety of sources, including HRIS and payroll outputs, benefits enrollment records, employee surveys, exit interviews, personnel records, government labor statistics, competitors' practices, and other sources.


Compliance and Special Project Support: Works in collaboration and supports stakeholders in special projects and implementations of HR systems. Participates in seasonal payroll and benefit related events such as year-end, open enrollment, and wellness events. Maintains current knowledge of and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field required.


Certifications and/or Licenses: SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.


Relevant Experience & Training:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in related areas such as payroll, job classification and compensation, and/or employee benefits required.


Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.


Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements involving employment, payroll, and benefits administration.


Proficient computer skills required, Excel and Word, and database programs; HRIS, ATS, TMS, and SharePoint.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to partner with all levels of leaders and employees.


Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate the highest level of integrity.
