Talent Acquisition Coordinator

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for supporting the operational role of Human Resources in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment. In this role, you will provide organizational support to recruiters and recruitment processes, onboarding, administration of policies and procedures.

This position is primarily responsible for supporting all phases of Digi-Key talent acquisition and retention process but will participate in other HR-related programs support.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supports the talent acquisition/recruitment team in ensuring customer service and hiring standards are met in the recruitment and facilitation of hiring qualified job applicants for open positions
  • Assists with creating templates and posting job requisitions in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for candidates to fill open positions; pre-screens applicants for routine searches and assists in coordinating and scheduling interviews
  • Administers and processes all related pre-employment and new hire tasks, paperwork, and reports such as assessments, background checks, drug screenings, employment law, the I-9 form, MN new hire report, etc.
  • Updates, maintains, and purges appropriate forms according to retention policies and applicable guidelines
  • Assists with organizing recruitment events and activities including the planning, execution, participation, and promotion both internally and externally (ex. job fairs, internships, job postings, marketing and branding media, social media, advertisements, etc.)
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the proper staff
  • Provides management with requested reports and documents including gathering and analyzing data of useful HR metrics (e.g., time to fill, time to hire, source of hire)
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Promotes HR programs including 8850's and Talent Scout bonus programs
  • Maintains and utilizes the HRIS systems and accurately maintain employee files
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
  • High School diploma|GED
  • 2 years of experience working with system/data processing, talent acquisition, customer service and engagement or other relevant experience
  • Strong foundational knowledge of the recruitment process: recruiting and talent acquisition
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Confident and competent customer service skills
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees, stakeholders, and community
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple assignments and excel in high volume demanding environment
  • Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with government regulated reports


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two Year Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Experience and working knowledge of ATS/HRIS systems; Workday
