The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for the daily management, productivity and development of the Production Planning Department.

Essential Job Duties:

Project leadership for strategic and functional Customer Programs/Initiatives.

Responds to escalated issues(inventory or capacity shortages) from customers, sales representatives, internal customers and management.

Oversees the supervision, organization, productivity, discipline and development of all Production Planners.

Implements procedures, policies and enhancements necessary to achieve a high level of customer and employee satisfaction along with company profitability.

Establishes and maintains departmental policies and procedures that ensure prompt, professional and accurate completion of workflow and objectives.

Develops Yearly Capacity Planning Budget and Oversees Master Planning Functions for the Foodservice Division.

Monitors and reports on departmental structure, productivity and planning to management.

Recruit, hire, train and manage the ongoing performance of Production Planning staff to ensure achievement of corporate goals and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Participates in cross-functional projects to ensure customer satisfaction, cost reduction, asset utilization efficiency.

Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team, co-ordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues.

Follow and Maintain all Food Safety, GMP and HACCP Guidelines

Lead weekly/monthly Master Production Schedule meetings.

Lead the development of scheduling tools to increase the level of automation and reduce the manual nature of the Scheduling function.

Create weekly/monthly reports and KPIs.

Requirements:

Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite and BPCS.

Excellent communication, managerial, leadership, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Ability to train, supervise and motivate others in a high volume environment. Willingness to travel as necessary.

Sources:

BS/BA degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.

Previous management experience in a Planning/MRP environment.

Responsibility:

Lead weekly/monthly Master Production Schedule meetings.

Lead the development of scheduling tools to increase the level of automation and reduce the manual nature of the Scheduling function.

Create weekly/monthly reports and KPIs.

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed almost exclusively in an office environment.

Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Regularly access other work centers (some walking, and bending, occasional stooping, lifting of light materials).

Frequent mental and visual concentration required for computer usage and general office tasks.

Safety hazards are minimal.
