Electrical Engineer, Principal - Analog Focus

Job Summary:

We are searching for a technical leader, specialist electrical engineer with an analog focus. The ideal candidate has a background in filtering and sampling very small signals from high impedance sources. We're growing and looking for great people to join us.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicating with customers or internal teams to understand product needs and technical feasibility
• Component and/or system-level electronic design and test
• Design and develop sensor interfaces including A/D conversion, filtering, etc.
• Sensor Interface - very low-level signals with high source impedance
• Analog Filters including 50/60Hz rejection
• Medical is preferred, many of the common solutions to these problems cannot be utilized due to patient safety
• Low leakage
• Designing and developing analog circuits using instrumentation amplifiers, transimpedance amplifiers, filters, and ADCs
• Understand, mitigate, and manage issues of signal and power integrity through circuit simulations / modeling
• Experience in lab testing of mixed-signal circuits and experience in using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc. to validate analog designs.
• Experience in leading mixed-signal development teams from initial architectural definition, specification, circuit development, layout, integration testing, design verification testing, and production ramp.
• Knowledge of analog mixed-signal concepts like mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power and low-noise techniques.
• Knowledge of ESD requirements.
• Experience with circuit design tools and flows, including circuit simulation (Spice, Spectre, ADS) and modeling (MATLAB).
• Printed circuit board development, build, and test

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BS degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 6-9 years experience with B.S.; or 3-6 years experience with an M.S.
• Proficient at quickly solving medium-complexity engineering problems
• Experience taking a device from design to production
• Detailed documentation skills
