Our first products were simple toolboxes and steps designed to make a farmers work easier and more productive in the field. Basic Function: The Sales Support Specialist's primary responsibilities include providing an effective and satisfying customer experience by reviewing, processing, and accurately completing all order entry needs.

Essential Functions:

Sales Order Processing

  • Coordinates and processes sales orders from all forms including web, fax, email, API, EDI, and other forms of sales orders for K&M customers. Sends out confirmation of orders via email, fax, or phone call.
  • Validates all purchase orders including pricing, shipping instructions, quantities, and special instructions.
  • Monitors aging backorders. Keeps customers updated on backorders by calling and emailing with updates.
  • Runs, edits, and sends necessary reports to support the Sales Team.
  • Assembles catalog mailings and take catalogs to the post office for dealers and retail customers.
  • Issues purchase orders to GNE for orders of NTE-branded parts.

Secondary Functions:

Inside Sales Support

  • Assists our dealers by setting up online dealer accounts on the website.
  • Assists eCommerce with listings, pricing errors, and other issues that would impact customer service to eCommerce representative or department supervisor.
  • Makes outbound calls to office accounts that are not coded to a specific territory.
  • Assists Marketing Manager to maintain email contact database.
  • Manages online inquiries from our website.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management.
  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
  • Attends training as directed by K&M.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of previous data entry, order entry or closely related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with a wide variety of customers, Company personnel and others.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient typing skills; must be able to accurately perform order entry tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Preferred:

  • Previous sales and/or customer service experience in a call center environment.
  • Business to business sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with distribution & ecommerce sales.
