Solidworks Detailer

Description:

• This person will come in as a Solidworks Detailer on the team. They will not be doing the actual design at first- the engineers will be doing this.
• Create fabrication drawings from designers models/assemblies.
• Ensure accurate and complete BOMs (Bills of Material) quantities and descriptions.
• Create assembly drawings for end customer.
• Understand company standards.
• Coordinate with other colleagues regarding complex diagrams
• Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• A.A. in Mechanical Drafting or equivalent
• 1+ years experience within drafting/detailing
• 1+ years' experience reading and creating fabrication drawings
• 1+ years of experience with Solidworks or SD2
• Ability to interpret a blueprint

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with structural steel manufacturing processes
• Experience with AutoCAD along with Solidworks
• Knowledge of AISC & OSHA Codes
• Knowledge of Welding symbols

Work Environment

• The environment is a hard working one- they are on 50 hour weeks right now. Most employees work 50-52 hours but they are hoping to get back down to 40-45 hours.

Team Size:

• 5 engineers
• 10 Designer/Detialer

Hours:

• 8:00-4:30 with flexibility on start times
