Description and Background
All Energy Solar is seeking an Interconnection and Permitting Intern to join our team. This position is based in St. Paul, MN. Every solar installation requires approval from the utility to connect to their grid and electrical infrastructure; this process is called Interconnection. Additionally, construction and electrical permits are required to build the solar and energy systems. The Interconnection and Permitting Intern will work alongside the Interconnection and Permitting Specialists to secure solar approvals. The role is primarily administrative and clerical and requires attention to detail and organization.
Responsibilities
Draft and submit interconnection and permitting applications
Participate in the administrative processes relating to applications
Submit payments for various applications
Maintain consistent and accurate data on projects within All Energy Solar's database
Monitor emails relating to application statuses
Perform other relevant administrative tasks as needed
Escalate concerns to Interconnection and Permitting Specialists as necessary
Skills/Qualifications
Ambitious and excited to learn
Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
Resourceful self-starter who is able to work productively on multiple projects simultaneously
Compensation
This is a part-time, non-exempt position with an expected pay rate of $16-18 hourly
PTO accrual beginning day 1
