This position has the ability to either sit in Sheboygan or Phillips, WI.
Analyzes and reports project expenses to determine production costs, cost of sales, or other cost-related performance measures. Ensures that costs are accurately charged to the appropriate department. Researches and resolves discrepancies or variances between actual and expected costs. Provides research and oversight of inventory transactions; implementing corrections, training, and coaching as necessary to team members involved in inventory transactions. Meets deadlines for financial close, forecast, budget, and audit needs related to cost accounting and inventory topics. Provides cost-related data in support of business decisions or for use in financial reporting.
Job Description:
Analyze material, labor, or other expenses to determine production costs, cost of sales, or other cost-related performance measures.
Ensures that costs are accurately charged to the appropriate department.
Researches and resolves discrepancies or variances between actual and expected costs.
Oversight and posting of inventory transactions, provide corrections and coaching to teams.
Financial close, forecast, budget, and audit responsibility for cost accounting and inventory.
Provide cost-related data in support of business decisions or for use in financial reporting.
Other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably costing in a manufacturing environment
