Job Summary


The Electrical Service Manager is responsible for leading and building the Electrical Service department. This position is also responsible for following and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure the company fulfills its contractual obligations for installations in accordance with quality, customer satisfaction, profit objectives, and directives.


Responsibilities


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Show technicians how to establish customer rapport to ensure highest levels of satisfaction.
  • Set expectations for each call, including safety and code requirements.
  • Conduct training to ensure on-time, high quality installations.
  • Promote enthusiasm and brand loyalty during daily huddles, team meetings and 1:1's.
  • Adhere to the company's plan for resolving customer complaints quickly and favorably.
  • Analyze and control job expenses to meet budget.
  • Directly responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, managing, and evaluating Electricians
  • Complete quality audits on selected installations to ensure superior performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all necessary permits are obtained
  • Manage workload and schedules to best utilize manpower and maximize profits
  • Ensure Electricians are being dispatched effectively
  • Provide statistical and performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each team member, verbally and in writing.
  • Ensure all installations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and company requirements
  • Provide feedback to managers regarding revenue opportunities, customer issues, and all issues relevant to the business
  • Carry out additional duties assigned by the General Manager or Owner

  • Attends weekly meetings and attends yearly budget planning.
  • 1:1s performed for all direct reports.
  • Conducts employee performance review (annually as a minimum).
  • Completes on-going leadership training to ensure compliance within the business unit.
  • Establish inventory replenishment and accountability system for universal parts and replenishment of service parts truck inventory.
  • Communication of jobs sold and parts purchase ordering system with warehouse.
  • Morning huddle numbers reviewed, and daily action plan communicated.
  • Open invoice follow-up system in place.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of call Electrical/Service experience
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
  • Quick, sound decision-making abilities.
  • Proven track record ideally in management.
  • Patient, diplomatic leader who understands how to diffuse conflict and convey empathy.
  • Ability to inspire and lead others to attain company goals.
  • Knowledge of current code requirements
  • Understanding of accounting and finance as it relates to the industry
