As a Continuous Improvement leader, you will have the opportunity to drive meaningful and measurable change across manufacturing operations in Warroad, MN. The Lean principles you implement will improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity metrics.
Highlights of your role
Facilitate change with a Lean mentality, supporting the deployment, adoption, and sustainability of Lean improvements
Develop and implement strategies for encouraging problem-solving knowledge and behavior cross-functionally; this includes mentoring and training others while driving adherence of fact-based, root-cause thinking
Ensure consistency across established standards for value stream mapping and analysis, rapid improvement, and 5S; make decisions about the design of value stream analysis and Kaizen workshops
Standardize work development, documentation, training, adherence, improvement, and management; instruct and mentor others
Identify, share, and facilitate the adoption of standard methodologies to eliminate waste and improve manufacturing performance
You're a good fit if you have
Broad training in a related field, typically acquired through college-level education with a degree in Engineering, Business, Quality, or Management
5+ years of experience facilitating and leading continuous improvement events
3+ years of management experience
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations
Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Quality certification(s) or in pursuit of certification(s)
Expert Kaizen Leader, preferred candidate will have led a minimum of 20 events
Proven leader and team builder with high energy, a positive demeanor, and excellent communication skills
Must be able to prioritize different projects, perform complex tasks, organize and follow through consistently and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability in instructing, coaching, and influencing leaders; ability to influence upward, across, and down with skill and patience without formal authority
