Mains'l Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Payroll and Accounting Manager. As the Payroll and Accounting Manager, you will lead members of FMS team through ongoing coaching, mentorship, and development. The Payroll and Accounting Manager ensures deadlines are met through general accounting, payroll processing, and payroll tax preparations; ensures high quality financial management services to agency partners; and maintains FMS policies and procedures for operations. This position gives you the opportunity to help lead a growing team that provides exceptional services to customers.

Salary: $70,000 starting

Schedule: Mostly remote, some in-person work will be required at times.

Your day-to-day work may include:

Engaging in ongoing training, development and coaching of new and current employees on existing or new payroll regulations and ever-changing tax codes active listening and problem-solving on current process concerns; and continuing to find ways to streamline processes to drive efficiencies, maintain accuracy, and allow for continuous growth.
Ensure all payroll and accounting contract deadlines are met
Stay up to date on current tax/payroll laws, engaging in ongoing learning opportunities
Be a leader in identifying changing environments and suggest revisions to policies, procedures, and tax preparations as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting related field preferred, but not required
10 years of experience in payroll, payroll taxes, and accounting, or related fields with 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience
Ability to learn and use electronic systems
Strong supervision and leadership skills and ability to use oral and written communication effectively
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, exceptional accuracy, familiarity with tax filings, good with numbers, ability to work independently & with our team, strong customer service skills
