Description:
Excel Engineering, Inc. is seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated individual for a Project Manager/Engineer position.
In this position, this person will be managing and executing assigned projects from an Engineering Manager. This will include coordinating with end-users, vendors, contractors, and others. The goal is to successfully execute and deliver desired results on time and within budget.

Primary Responsibilities and Skills
Develop ideas and sketches and present findings to team members. This will be used to determine overall scope of assigned projects.
Collaborate with the team during the concept feasibility phase to build scopes of work and project estimates based on sketches, product descriptions, and field data.
Manage project timelines to ensure on-time delivery of simultaneous projects.
Work with sourcing department and service providers to understand the impact of cost and schedule on design changes.
Provide technical support as needed to the assigned projects.
Assist in equipment troubleshooting and continuous plant improvement processes.
Coordinate project documentation, including drawings, IQ/OQ/PQ validation and test reports.
Knowledge of mechanical/chemical engineering, design, and manufacturing principals (liquid processing preferred).
Strong understanding of manufacturing production facilities and operations.
Strong computing and project management skills (Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project/P6 Primavera a plus).
Requirements:
Experience
Experience participating in and managing process improvement projects within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Five (5) years of combined experience in manufacturing facilities or engineering consulting.
Education
Bachelors or Masters' Degree in: Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 Scale.
Optional Skills Applicable to the Role
Ten (10) years of combined experience in Capital equipment and/or Facilities project management in a private, public, government or military environment.
Experience working in FDA-regulated industry utilizing cGMP processes.
Professional PE registration or ability to obtain such is preferred.
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or ability to obtain such is preferred.
Familiarity with SAP enterprise resource planning software.
